Chronic Fatigue & Burnout

High levels of stress in your life can lead to significant over-stimulation of your nervous system and a persistent sense of exhaustion. It doesn’t have to be this way forever.

  • We meet you where you’re at, establishing your baseline and helping you build your capacity again. We work together to identify and actively address the heightened physical, cognitive or emotional elements of your presentation, taking a practical and tailored approach to recovery to get you back to the activities you want to do.

  • Working together with GPs, specialists, psychologists, physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, our service provides a holistic approach to your recovery and thus, the greatest benefit to you.

Chronic pain

Persistent Pain

High levels of persistent pain can lead to emotional distress, poor sleep and low mood, reducing your enjoyment and engagement in life activities.

When the cycle of pain is left to continue, it becomes the new normal and your world quickly becomes smaller. Your choices reduce and you start to bounce from therapist to therapist and specialist to specialist, trying every approach possible and even considering surgical intervention.

Our support centers around understanding your pain experience, providing education and best practice support to reduce your emotional distress and the health anxiety you’ve been living with.

We support you to be an active player in your recovery journey, helping you focus your energy on “best-practice” treatments, utilising concepts of nocioception and neuroplasticity to make positive changes in your approach to recovery, rebuilding routines and shifting your mindset.

Think of nociception as your body’s alarm system. Alarm systems are important in keeping us alive, however, if left ringing continuously, it quickly becomes irritating, distracting and exhausting!

  • Imagine a car alarm that goes off when someone merely walks past the car. The alarm works, but it’s become too sensitive. Chronic pain can be similar — the system is trying to protect you, but it’s gone into over-alert mode and it can feel like there’s nothing you can do to turn it off.

Persistent pain can lead to reduced movement, in an attempt to avoid the pain experience, however this can cause secondary impacts to your health and wellbeing, your activity choices and enjoyment.

Working through a tailored program to understand and address your pain experience, provides a more holistic and sustainable approach to your recovery, helping you move beyond the physical pain and take control of your mental wellbeing again.
